History: Kyat is an Elven shapeshifter trained in the arts of healing. She was once full of life and very outspoken. One day, much like today, a traveler passed by her and overheard her boasting about how well of a fighter she was. He had seen this as a challenge and called her on it. Despite her young age, she accepted and won. The traveler then asked for a rematch. Kyat's ego would not allow her to say no and, once again, she accepted the challenge and won again. The traveler, again, asked for one more match. This time for a prize, full life of slavery. Haveing already beat him twice, Kyat did not see a problem with this and thought the man a fool for offering himself up like that and accepted his challenge once again. However, she did not realize that the traveler was a master wizard and over powered Kyat.
After many years of tortured slavery to the traveler, Kyat's spirit was broken. She was bought, traded, and passed around like property for so long, she had forgotten who she was. "Why hadn't she ran away?" you may ask... the answer to this is very simple. The traveler was infact a master wizard and cast a spell of loyalty on Kyat. She is not able to go beyond 100 feet of her current owner, whomever it may be at the time.
Kyat is currently owned by Lord Chaos, the Mad Hatter of the Gypsies. Chaos' father, Zahatortae, had seen her in the market and quickly decided that she had potential to help him in his diabolical plans. After spending several days with her and learning of her history, Lord Zahatortae wanted to break the spell that was cast upon the young elf. Lord Zaha had begun immediately to gain all knowledge of this traveler and the spell he used. After several attempts, and failing miserably, Lord Zahatortae engulfed himself in flames. Unfortunatly, all that was found of him the next day by his son, Lord Chaos, was a spellbook, a few notes, and a small little kitten with a note around her collar.
My Son,
If you have found this letter, than I fear I am no longer around. No, stupid, I'm NOT the cat! I hope you can do what I was apparently never able to do. Take the kitten and my belongings far away from this area before removing her collar. Her name is Kyat.
STOP THINKING THAT I AM THE BLOODY CAT!!!!
Everything will become clear after following these instructions.....
Unfortunately, the rest of the letter was burned in the explosion and Chaos never knew what instructions were left for him. But through his notes, Zahatortae's true meaning was revealed to his son. After removing the collar from around the kitten's neck, Kyat revealed her true elven form. Chaos realized exactly what his father was trying to say in his notes.
To Kyat, Lord Chaos is a godsend. He has given her the freedom to roam (yet remain nearby so not to feel the deathly pain of the loyalty spell), and to do as she wished. But alas, some habits are hard to break. Kyat had been a slave for so long that she does not know the meaning of freewill and usually always askes permission from Lord Chaos before doing anything. Though he is from another household, Lord Chaos allows Kyat to wear the colors of her own.
